Whether you are a non-resident planning to trade in the UK, or a UK company expanding overseas, apostilled documents help you operate with confidence internationally.

Why You May Need This Service

If you are based outside the UK or intend to trade internationally, apostilled documents provide legal recognition in over 105 countries that are members of the Hague Convention.

Under the 1961 Hague Convention, documents that have been certified by a solicitor and issued with a compliant apostille certificate are accepted for official and legal use in all participating countries.

Please note: For countries outside the Hague Convention, we cannot confirm whether an apostille certificate will be accepted.

Why Should I Get My Documents Apostilled?

The term “apostille” comes from French and means certification. In practice, it refers to the legalisation of official documents so they can be recognised internationally.

Under the 1961 Hague Convention, documents that are first certified by a solicitor and then issued with a compliant apostille are accepted for legal and official use in all countries that are signatories to the Convention.

Once apostilled, your documents gain international recognition, giving them legal credibility and authority when presented abroad.
